Dzoni90 Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 (edited) A new moc, based on the famous part from the "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain. I tried a new technique for my tree and I hope you like it. Captain Green Hair Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 That's a really nice rendition of that iconic image, I especially like the creative tree. Quote
Graham Gidman Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 That's quite the tree, a very interesting technique. Nice work! Quote
Gunman Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 (edited) Heyyyy thats an amazing technique there... great!!! Edited March 26, 2016 by Gunman Quote
don leopold Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Nice technique for your tree, i love it !!! Have you used white cheese slopes or tiles on the wall of your house ? Quote
peedeejay Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 A frypan tree? :D Sounds crazy but looks surprisingly great! Quote
Dzoni90 Posted March 26, 2016 Author Posted March 26, 2016 Thank you all! @don leopold, I have used only tiles. Quote
strider117 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Lol this is one of my favorite parts of the book I read as a kid. Really brings back the story and very nice building here! Keep it up. Quote
Junior Shark Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 The MOC as a whole is fantastic, but the obvious standout feature is that frying pan tree! Quite possibly the best example of NPU I've ever seen. Quote
BrickCurve Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Great MOC, the tree technique is brilliant. I think the grass and the road need a bit more texture, try adding some 1 x 2 plates to make it look a bit more natural. Quote
kabel Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 What a great idea to take on such an epic scene! Truely awesome! Quote
Exetrius Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 So I was just about to quit EB because I thought I had seen it all, but then a certain someone came up with a frickn' FRYING PAN TREE! I mean, SERIOUSLY!? I guess I'll stay a little longer than... Okay, now for real: THAT IS AMAZING!!! The angled tiles for the walls is also a very pleasing sight. I didn't really think about quitting EB, it's way to nice here! Quote
Brickadier General Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Wow, very nice! Your tree turned out excellent. I never would have thought of using the lime green pots like that. From a distance, it looks very organic. Great job! Quote
mlongworth Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Ok have to tell you im.definitely going to use that tree design. Love it. Now I just need green pans. Quote
Forresto Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 The frying pan tree is fantastic but you really nailed the building and fence. That's a nice transition between the painted and unpainted parts of the fence. Quote
Dzoni90 Posted April 9, 2016 Author Posted April 9, 2016 Thank you all! I had a bunch of lime frying pans, and I wanted to use them somehow and this was the result. I am glad that you like it, and you can freely use this technique in your moces. Quote
halixon Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Very nice house! That tree is absolutely amazing! Quote
