Suspension isn't working/doing anything at all ...

You could probably switch those (front) shocks with a solid liftarm and the result would be the same (but then you could simplify _and_ strengthen the entire chassis a whole lot more)

Cheers,

Ole

If body is will be added later then shocks should start to work.

Just wanted to say the same. Springs are way too hard. Might as well not have any suspension at all.

Cheers for all the feedback. I'll have a look at changing the shocks for softer ones or making it solid. In terms of bodywork, there is a bit but it isn't very good,

So, as promised here is a full video:

As you can see in the video the model is pretty fast. It is powered by two RC motors with Eneloop Pro batteries as a power source. The model has 68.8 x 36 ZR wheels and independent suspension in the front and rear. The front setup isn't the best because travel is very limited, almost insignificant because of the obtrusion of the steering rack. The model is 44 Studs long, 27 Studs wide and 12 Studs tall if you don't count the aerial so it is reasonably big:

There were two GoPro mounts I used in the video. The most common was the above the front axle of the car:

The other one was on the right hand side of the car inbetween the axles, which I don't have any photos of. Now here are some more pictures:

More photos are available at my brickshelf, http://www.brickshel...?m=Technic-Jim. A LXF is being made at the moment, I'll post that when done. Please post any feedback, positive or negative!

Thanks for reading, Jim.

(Front) suspension is still pointless. Drop it (and your back supsension too), make it 4WD and you'll even go faster! Which seems to your point with that MOC ..

I would but I've broken the model up by now to re-use the pieces. If you look at the LDD file you'll see that it was 4WD to start with

Nice creation! Too bad you broke it into pieces. You could (if you liked) make a complete RC model with the base you had made.

Thank you. The base was loosely modelled on desert Eagle's drift car chassis. He posted a video on his YouTube channel. The instructions are here:

And his car is here:

It probably isn't best to post your email here because of possible spam, but I'll email it to you now and put it on my Bricksafe
