I was lucky enough to help out at the Sci-Fi Weekend at the National Space Center in Leicester, UK yesterday as part of The Brickish Association and was impressed with their large mosaic of Superman (4x6 48x48 boards)

Does anybody have a tutorial and/or filter/palette details for converting a picture into a mosaic format using GIMP or PhotoShop?

I'll post a link to pics of the Superman mosaic as soon as I can

LOL oh yeah - forgot about the double meaning for GIMP

The GIMP I'm on about is GNU Image Manipulation Program which is free software that is almost as god as PhotoShop (did I mention that is free?)

This might help. It's similar to PS.

And did I mention that Paint.net is also free and better? :-P

Thanks guys :-) will give them a try tonight

Pics from the Lego event at the Sci-Fi weekend at National Space Center, Leicester can be found under Brickish in My Flifkr folder

So tell me...what was that Liberator model like in real life? I wish I could have seen it, it's my favourite starship of all time. Maybe Ed' will bring it along to the Brickish Christmas party...

Erm ...... *wacko* you'll have to pardon my ignorance, but which was the Liberator?? The big white one was very impressive :'-)

It was a really good day and all the models were impressive. Will be good to meet up with all those attending the Xmas party at LLW. You going?

Possibly.

Yes, the Liberator was the big white ship - from Blake's 7.
