OmgItsNitro Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Really enjoyed building the Technic Drag Racer but my favorite build is still the 24 hour race car. The 24 hour race car has more features such as the mechanical rear end left and doors that made it very fun to build! The Drag Racer doesn't have much mechanical features compared to the 24 hour race car but still enjoyed the build. Mechanical feature comparison: - 24 Hour Racer Detailed V8 engine with moving pistons Opening gull-wing doors all-round independent suspension working front steering, opening front trunk and engine hood. Upgrade with Power Functions motor - Drag Racer V8 engine with moving pistons, working front steering Raise the body shell to reveal the chassis Upgrade with Power Functions motor Overall the 24 hour racer is more customizable and has more realistic features to it! Video Cheers, Nitro Quote
hadidi1999 Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Since no one replied I will, Woohoo, It really is great. I will cheer you on every time I get the chance. But like I said on Youtube: try to soften the light. Oh and there is a blue tint to the video, the White Balance needs adjusting. Quote
rollermonkey Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Consider me as underwhelmed by the dragster. I immediately took apart the A model, but the B-model is still together. Probably not for very long though. Quote
hadidi1999 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Ya rollermonkey I guess if funny cars aren't funny to you, then you will need to go with something a bit more serious, maybe a bucket-wheel excavator. Quote

Thanks lol, I'm working on adjusting the white balance but the shadows are killing me. Consider me as underwhelmed by the dragster. hadidi1999 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I know tumbler wheels , I only have two of those from my Vip Batpod Yup I am one in a thousand. Quote
Immo Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I keep repeating that, but the 42050 is a neat representation of a funny car, has all the necessary functions and the "wheelie" function is perfect for displaying the model properly. Love the colour, too. I got mine for Christmas and it still stays on the shelf, "wheelieing". I have plans on building a C-Model, though. Probably a supercharged hot rod tractor thingy. Quote
hadidi1999 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 HotRod Tractor Thingy, Wow cool, Where can I find it when you are done? Quote
P3_Super_Bee Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 I'm a drag race fan. Lego miss the mark BIG TIME on this one. Probably will only buy this one if I find on a big sale somewhere, then build the B model. It's a tad better, but not by much.. Very disappointed in this set. Quote

Ok, What do you think they missed, I don't see anything wrong with it. Quote
