Captain Ka-Boom Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 First point i have to make is that no one makes grenadier regiments WHY? Now to my proper question what would be the scale of redcoats to grenadiers? Based on any thing, any year please as long as redcoats had tricornes Thanks :'-) Quote
Fordo Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Bonaparte and I have both made Grenadier regiments but they are French. During the Napoleonic era (Which our armies are made for) I the Old Guard Grenadiers were the Creme de la Creme of the French Army and thus why we added them but for the British I don't remember reading for seeing any major British Grenadier regiments. Sir Norman Ray Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 We didn't have them really. I think the closest we had was one company a regiment was a Grenadier unit. Like the Light Company, they were the Elite of a Regiment, the toughest, hardest men. They used to carry grenades (the old glass ones) but ended up forgetting them I suppose you COULD say the Coldstream Guards (The ones with the giant bear hats that protect the Queen) might be them, not sure really. Governor Mister Phes Posted October 24, 2007 Governor Posted October 24, 2007 Here's a picture of my French old guard grenadiers: How come the men down the back with the cannons don't have facial hair like the grenadiers? X-D Quote
DJ Force Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 How did you fit those tires on the heads? Quote
Captain Ka-Boom Posted October 24, 2007 Author Posted October 24, 2007 1x1x1 black round piece in middle see stud popping up Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted October 24, 2007 Governor Posted October 24, 2007 Ahhhhhh... That explains how that works. When I was much younger I attempted to plonk a tire atop a mini-figure head but it wouldn't stay there. I was very disappointed. Quote
Col. Whipstick Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Ugh... Do we have to keep looking at all those Frenchies? It's bad enough we can smell them. :-P On me the reds! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted October 25, 2007 Governor Posted October 25, 2007 Just remove the tires from the theirs and they can once again be British X-D Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Well, the British Grenadiers had less of a role in "the Wars", so...I would like to see some though. Quote
