Gongoro73 Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Hi everybody, I'm thinking in purchase the 10214 Tower Bridge and turn it into a modular building MOC. It would be my first attempt to build my own MOC. I'm not interested on the set itself, but I feel that has a lot of possibilities to switch it into a nice building. My question are: has anybody attempted this? Any examples? Do you think it's a good choice to start with? Thanks in advance! Quote
Agent 86 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 That's a cool idea. This is the best that I could find: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kvasir79/15985896089 Quote

Sir Stig Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 THe Hugo Santos version is superb. I wish he had some more photos still available. Quote
kjm161 Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I did this just recently. It was a great way to get tan pieces and a wonderful roof line. Museumb by Karen Metz, on Flickr You can check out more pictures on The Knight Museum thread in this forum. Quote

I'll try to contact him, I would love to see more pics of the details and interiors. I did this just recently. It was a great way to get tan pieces and a wonderful roof line. L@go Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Thanks so much, Agent 86, interesting building. I found this today, from french builder Hugo Santos: Hugo Santos is not French, he's Portuguese. I know him well. But contacting him won't help, as he didn't build this - he just posted it to Rebrick (just read the description). The building was made by Mr_No - who IS French... ;) Quote

TheLegoDr Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I have this set sealed in box still. I like the official set and would want to build it sometime. I hadn't even considered using the pieces to turn it into a Modular building. Seeing those examples above, very interesting idea and very well done MOCs. Now I have some thinking to do if I should follow suit or just stick to official version. Thanks for the inspiration. Quote
hacktic Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 I did this just recently. It was a great way to get tan pieces and a wonderful roof line. LegoManTroy Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 It isn't a bad castle. The only problem I would have with turning the tower bridge into a Modular Building is the fact that it probably would not fit in the sequence. See, with old English architecture mixed in with modern, more plain architecture wouldn't feel right. I don't know, I guess it's just my opinion. Quote
kjm161 Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Sorry no instructions. I revamped this and used most of the pieces to turn it into this: 20160211_100217 by Karen Metz, on Flickr 20160211_100237 by Karen Metz, on Flickr I highly recommend the tower bridge set to create MOCs. Quote
