Gouniaf Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Hello there ! I'm a new AFOL, as I haven't built anything with bricks since I was a child; more than fifteen years ago.I discovered TLG produced plenty of new kind of bricks I'm trying to get familiar with. I wanted to built the most famous ship of the extended univers the z-95. To proceed, I bought the 75051-1 Jedi Scout Fighter and used the pieces to build my z-95. I also used few parts from other sets. Of course, this model isn't exactly reliable with the z-95 (it has only two engines), and I want to improve it. What do you guys think about this ? I'm looking for advise. Quote
GuyDudeMan27 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Very nice! I love the simplicity of it all. Not to mention your amazing photography! I like the model just how it is. Quote
deraven Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Nice rendition. I really like the way you've done the cargo area that makes it look good in flight and still functional. Quote
Krikkit Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I love this, the Z95 was one of my fave ships from the universe and it looks stunningly put together here! Quote
H_Solo Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 A very clean build, but imho spot-on! Very well done! Quote
Only Sinner Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 This looks really good, especially those engines! (some Z-95 had only two) I don't think I would add too much except for some landing struts, (I don't like when aircraft just lays on the ground) and another parabola for your starboard lazer cannon. I like the detail and overall proportions of your Z-95. Quote
Meller Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 it looks very simple, i love it! :-) but yeah som landing gear would fit it :-) Quote
Gouniaf Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) After purchasing Poe's X-Wing, my Z-95 seemed a little too small, so I have decided to rebuild it. It still has a storage space on the back, but smaller. I haven't added the landing gears yet because I don't have the right parts. I'm considering bricklinking it. Here are the pictures : I was also building a ship inspired by the Resistance Shuttle from The Force Awakens, with vertical wings, a bit like Kylo Ren's shuttle : This is a work in progress, I haven't done much inside, and I'm unsatisfied with the wings. But Nikro's amazing Smuggler's troops transports ( http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=118872 ) decided me to improve my build. I'm thinking about restarting from the beginning. YellowCorvette Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Looks good, but there's something that I think you did better with the previous version of the Z-95 better than the updated version. The build between the cockpit until the back of the ship (Excluding the wings) of the updated version didn't flow well with the shape of the ship and looks odd from some angles. The backside also looks kinda plain and boring when compared to the previous version. Yours shuttle looks kinda short and blocky, but I can't comment to much about the transporter since it's a WIP MOC at this time. I recommend you to look at GuyDudMan27's Z-95 or the 75004 set for some inspiration. Happy building as always! Quote
