Dubbadgrim Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Features a working drawbridge and removable back corner to allow access to dungeon, armoury and wall walkways. I'll probably add some more pics to a brickshelf folder soon™. Quote
Boromir Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Loving this castle! I want to see more Pictures definitely. Would be interesting to see some more close ups. Quote
Full Plate Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Looks really great! Dungeon, rabbit hole, ghost The technique you use to make air pockets in the soil/rock looks great! Great job! Quote
Regenerate builder Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Well done! Awesome remake. Instantly recognizable. Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Lovely - especially the colors, light bley looks so beautiful over black, and the tudor hut is spot-on, just like on the original. Old figs with new, interesting heads are very refreshing. Well played. Quote
Balbo Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Wow, that's amazing . I really love the fact that you combined the original Black Castle with modern building techniques. The rockwork looks great and I like the dungeon Quote
SirBlake Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Love it! Great balance between classic and custom. Quote
HawkLord Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 One of my favorite sets as a kid. This is the best remake I have ever seen of that castle. Very well done! How many pieces are in it do you think? Quote
Legocity2713 Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Nice modern take on an old classic. Great job man, keep it up. Quote
SimonJC Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 This is the best black castle moc I've seen. You've managed to bring the details to the front without being lost in the black. It's very, very clever. Quote
KristofBD Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Excellent work and very much in tune with the original one! Quote
napoleonlafy Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Very good work, i like details of your castle. The Rabbit hole is awesome! Quote
Artifex Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Wow! What a great MOC! And a really nice homage! This is an insta-fave! Quote
Zerobricks Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Lovely details, would also like to see more close-ups. Quote
WhiteFang Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Amazing work! The Black Knights Castle is one of the most iconic castle of all times and you have managed to render it into such an incredible modern looking design and yet able to retain the classic charm. Got to admit that the landscape detail is an additional nice touch and the exterior is equally recognisable. Quote
blackdeathgr Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 (edited) Really awesome! Makes me try my own mod on this beautiful set. ( just kidding ) Edited May 23, 2015 by blackdeathgr Quote
K-Nut Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 6086 is by far probably one of the best sets LEGO has produced. It's simple, but charming design has be recaptured in this MOC, even with all of the complicated techniques you've used. Are you going to be recreating more classic castles in the near future?... Quote
Hobbythom Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Great stuff! 6086 Was the first big set I bought from my savings as a kid and therefor this build makes me somewhat sentimental. But there is one glaring error! That backwall is way to high! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Absolutely fine castle. Old and new at the same time - charming like those good old sets! Quote
Graham Gidman Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I just absolutely love your style. Too cool! Quote
BrickJagger Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 This is one of my new favorite MOCS! Perfect in so many ways. Keep it up! Quote
The Undo Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 A beautiful reimagination of a classic set! Great work. Quote
