vedosololego Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 (edited) Hi everyone. This is my version of the SBB CE 6/8 Electric Locomotive, called the Swiss Crocodile. Swiss Electric Crocodile Locomotive by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr I try to represent it as much realistic and detailed as i can. It is also a Lego Ideas project, so if you really like it you can support following the link. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/97696 Your support on this project and your comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all. Edited November 9, 2017 by vedosololego Quote
zephyr1934 Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Looking good, I like the use of the newer profile bricks (brick bricks) for the side details. Quote
vedosololego Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Thank you. I used them on the back side tryin' to reply the original. Now i'm waiting the activation on brickshelf, and i will add a more detailed render and a photo of the Real locomotive. Quote
cgarison Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Very nice build. I agree that the profile bricks really set off the looks of the MOC. Quote
vedosololego Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 Finally.. Man with a hat Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Oh WOW! No brick bricks in reddish brown yet available I see. But that's minor compared to all those other details. Ice skate as an ornament. Brilliant! Quote
michaelozzie Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Awesome work in capturing the details with some clever parts usage. Good job Quote
THERIZE Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 What a beautiful locomotive. Great job with the pantographs! What are those things between the leading axle and the coupler? Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Very nice locomotive and amazing realization! Quote
vedosololego Posted April 24, 2016 Author Posted April 24, 2016 Thank You all. More than one year to build it and some details missing compared to the original project, but the final result is not bad. I Always try to find a second use for the parts that I have, it's funny. Here I've used the ice skates, the snowshoes and bugs. In the E326 locomotive I used bows for the pantographs. Quote
James Mathis Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 A beautiful build. Glad for you to realize it into the real brick. CAD to brick achieved! Indeed, clever bits and great details. James Quote
Patgeo Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Its huge! Very nice creation, and in great colour! Congratulations! Quote
Dread Pirate Rob Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Very clever parts use and a great overall effect. Must look superb weaving through points:) I really like the use of gold rings on the lights. Great build! Quote
vedosololego Posted July 14, 2016 Author Posted July 14, 2016 Thank You so much for this great compliments. Now the project has 1471 supporters and only 58 days left. It will never reach 10000. But it's a big satisfaction for me. I hope LEGO will produce in future new realistic locomotives like this one but also like some amazing projects from others creators. Now i've got others two locomotives close to 500 supporters, and a Christmas Train. I've heard voices about a Christmas Train for this year. Have someone heard something about it? I'm courious to see if it is similar to the mine one. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/132674 This is the link to the project, but now i've built it in real bricks with some additions. I'm trying to make some nice pictures but it's too big and it don't fit in the light-box. Quote
JopieK Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 I recently got a german LEGO Train book, is also featured in there (the crocodile)! And I'm sure LEGO also get's their inspiration from Ideas projects like yours even if they don't reach 10.000+ Quote
