Nite01 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Hello, i have an old lego set with a few missing bricks (6074 - Black Falcon's Fortress). According to this part list : http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6074-1 , some of the bricks i am missing have "OldGray" color. On the lego "pick a brick" store, however, there is no such color. They only have "Dk. St. Gray" and "Med. St. Gray". Is any of those two "compatible" with the "OldGray" color ? Thanks ! Quote
romdam Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 I would just get the old gray from bricklink. There is a noticable difference in the old gray and grays out now. Quote
antp Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Indeed, in plain light the difference is very visible. Bricklink's "light gray" = peeron's "old gray" (not available from Lego since about 10 years) Bricklink's "light bluish gray" = peeron's "md stone" (the current one sold by Lego) cf http://www.peeron.com/inv/colors Quote

BirdOPrey5 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) The arches at the bottom are old grey where the rest of the building is light bluish grey. Edited November 24, 2014 by BirdOPrey5 Quote
TheLegoDr Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Basically anything over 7 years, other than standard bricks in primary colors plus black and white, you should look elsewhere . Lego had a huge overhaul of their color palette, so very few pieces of early sets are available. Quote
1974 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 White is also quite different now, only black is the same. TLG's naming concentions are really odd .. Quote
