Prince Manic Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 (edited) I've started building a scale replica of my own version of the Back to the future Clock Tower used in 1955 lightning Scene and it's almost done just need to find a way to build the roof and I'm using the Town Hall's clock face for it and not sure how to make the disc fit when I make the roof if anyone can create a LDD file of the Roof on how I should do it I'll be happy to build it. I came this far to make it happen so here's the WIP I'm doing, My scale is roughly within' Model Trains Scale of HO scale This is how it look before I had the roof made as I was trying to figure out on how I make it pointed just like the from the Reference pic (see Below) it took me a lot of trial and errors to get it just right - this is my completed version of Hill Valley Clock Tower that I'll build in the Future, Once I have my clock face from town hall. and this is the Picture I've used to Reference from it! - Edited September 17, 2014 by Prince Manic Quote
tkatt Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 It looks really good. The angle on the roof seems perfect. The one thing I think you could change is the scale. If it were 48 or 64 studs wide it would look even better. The front doors would be better if they weren't obscured by the columns. Quote

I tried to make it easier for a Brickfilm size and my parts list would be like in the $90 - $100 ranges if I were to get all of these, I've done a likness of HO Scale of Model Railroad kind of thing. Now it just needs a Delorean. When I build this for Realz it will feature my full fledged Delorean with three mods I've done to it like the Door sides, the front hood, and the roof (made it one plate taller to fit Doc and Marty inside with ease. andyscouse Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Yes, 48-wide would make it even better ... and for the 2nd row of windows, I'd use a white plate for the white above, then 2 of the brick colour above - that way, the height of the white above those windows would be more in proportion to the actual building. I'll review my parts list and revise the clock tower, this is just a smaller version of the actual size due to a scale I'm more after. Update: I fixed it up the 1x2 bricks are in the middle so I'm gonna revise my order list to insure I've got all the pieces in Edited September 28, 2014 by Prince Manic Quote
