DLuders Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Nice replica! Were you able to "reverse engineer" the set from the few published photos of the set, or did you get PDF Building Instructions somehow? Did you use a stock 8043 Motorized Excavator as the basis for your replica? How do the 42006 and 8043 compare? Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Very good attempt,I look forward to getting the set early next year. Quote
Paul Boratko Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 dokludi, you are seriously one of my favorite builders... Quote

skylinedan Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) Very well done. you spend enough time looking over all the pictures you can build like this, the inside and the boggies would be the hardest part to do though. The 4 jaw is nice also considering we don't have the parts to build the new one yet. I,m looking forward to getting this one as well, just hope its not gonna be stupid expensive. Lasse D Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Very nicely done. I'm impressed on how well the Mini-LA is integrated in the grabber. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Hats off to the best Lego reverse engineer out there! Quote
davidmull Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 This reverse engineering always ruins the surprise of new models :( Quote
jorgeopesi Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I miss more red pieces this time , welldone as usual. Quote
Erik Leppen Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 This set seems to be quite a bit more ingenious than I first thought. Great job on he replica. MOCcing is one thing, but building a set from just photos is something entirely different! Quote
